TLC Bags Medals in Davao City’s National PRISAA Games 2019

The Lewis College National PRISAA 2019 Delegation, through the efforts of 19 student athletes, brought home 2 bronze medals and high placement in most events which contributed to the historic rank 4 finish of Bicol Region.

Hans Fredrich L. Pikal, a Grade 7 student, won a bronze medal in Lawn Tennis Singles Junior Division while Jake A. Derilo, a Grade 10 student, received the other bronze medal in the Karatedo Junior Division. The Bicol Team Basketball Juniors primarily composed of TLC Wolverines also reached the quarterfinals during National PRISAA.

The student athletes from The Lewis College include Ann Michelle J. Jaylo in Badminton Junior Division; Mark Lancelot V. Bonos, Stahl Arathorne Bustillo, Ross Marco Cordova, Karl Cedrick Dela Rosa, Jan Emman  V. Enguerra, Mark Ernest R. Fajardo, Kurt Matthew A. Fulay, John Melchor D. Genavia, James Jordan G. Janoras, Salbou G. Sery, Kirby B. Solano, and Carl Albert J. Tutanes in Basketball Junior Division; Gwen Ataylar in Chess Senior Division; Jake A. Derilo in Karatedo Junior Division; Shiena P. Quindoza in Taekwondo Junior Division; Hans Fredrich L. Pikal in Lawn Tennis Junior Division; Mary Ann H. Huenda  and Nemuel G. Labtic in Dance Sports Latin.

The National PRISAA Games 2019 was held in Davao City last May 19 to 25, 2019. It was a weeklong competition in more than 18 sports events with 17 participating regions all over the country. With a total of over 10000 delegates, it is considered as the biggest collegiate national game of private schools in the Philippines.
