TLC Founders’ Golden Anniversary

On August 16, 1969, Atty. Reginald Lewis and Atty. Loida Nicolas were married in simple church rites in Manila, Philippines.

This year, in celebration of what would’ve been their 50th anniversary, Mrs. Lewis celebrated with a mass, followed by lunch with a small gathering of family and friends at her home.

From The Lewis College Family, we greet our beloved founders a HAPPY 50TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY! (Credits to Ms. Lora Nicolas-Olaes, Mr. Edwin Josue, Mr. Roman Mañalac Gardose and Ms. Delia Juarez for the photos and news.)

The Lewis College, in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection Sorsogon City, conducted a Fire and Earthquake Drill on Thursday, August 15, 2019.

All students and faculty from the Higher Education Department as well as the Basic Education Department participated in the drill.

Included in the activity are rescue simulation, evacuation procedures, fire drill and observance of safety measures such as duck, cover and hold. The said activity is an effort to prepare the school for unexpected disasters such as fire outbreak and earthquake.

The Lewis College held an opening program for college students during the first day of school last August 5, 2019 at the TLC Covered Court. The faculty from the three departments as well as the head of offices and administrative staff were introduced during the program. Dr. Belen D. Azul, Director for Academic Affairs gave a welcome message while Edwin G. Gonzales, Director for HED Operations, gave the closing remarks. Enrolment is still ongoing for the Higher Education Department.
