“Faculty and Staff from TLC Explore Turning Passion into Business at Mentorship Seminar”

Faculty and selected staff from The Lewis College (TLC), undergo active mentorship on turning passion into a business, through a seminar on “Total Quality Management and Developing a Small Business”, held on January 11, 2025, at TLC AVR.

The key speaker of the seminar was, Dr. Jeffrey Siegel, the founder and president of Go Global Ministries, an international non-profit organization certified by ECFA. Go Global Ministries is an organization that combines collective expertise in professional sports, business, education, medicine, management, and logistical transportation to share the message of hope to underprivileged children and families. The discussion gave the participants an overview of total quality management, allowing faculty to experience first-hand information from an expert.

In an interview, Ms. Janela Bautista Franco, Associate Dean of the College of Business Education (CBE), shared that the seminar emphasized the importance of building a small business from a foundation of passion and love for what you do. She also highlighted that having a mentor to guide you through the entrepreneurial journey is essential in successfully growing and developing your business.

Overall, the forum aims to equip faculty with practical ideas and techniques for business management. Thanks to TLC Admin and SASO Coordinators for organizing the seminar.
